1. Qualification: The candidate seeking admission to the first year B.D.S. course should have passed 2nd pre-university course/12th std or equivalent exam with minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate of PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY & BIOLOGY as optional subjects and ENGLISH as language subject (40% in the case of SC/ST/Category-1 candidates)

Age requirement: The candidate shall complete the age of 17 years as on 31st December of the year in which the admission is sought.

Admissions to the first year BDS course are made within the sanctioned intake. The seat matrix for admission to the first year BDS course during the academic year 2007-08 is as follows. 35% of the total intake is permitted to be filled through Government on merit as per the entrance test held by the Govt. (CET). 45% of the total seats are allowed to be filled by the COMEDK on merit as per the entrance test held by it. 20% of the seats are reserved by the college for admission to the NRI/Foreign category students (15%) and other eligible candidates (5%) as per the merit determined by the college on the basis of the marks secured in the qualifying examination.

The students seeking admission to the first year BDS course shall apply to the college on the prescribed application form, available from the college website along with all the testimonials within the last date notified by the college. Incomplete application form will not be considered for admission. The selected students shall pay all the prescribed fees for admission. The fees paid to the college will not be refunded after the last date of admission as notified by the college.

The selected candidate shall join the college with all the original documents along with the fee within the time prescribed by the college. The non-complied students will be removed from the merit list of the college and the vacancy will be filled by admitting other eligible candidate as per the merit list prepared by the college.

The vacancies determined in the quota of CET and COMEDK after the reconciliation meeting will also be filled by the college on merit within the last date as notified by the university.

Any student who cancel the admission or discontinue the course after the last date of admission shall pay the entire college course fee for 4 years.

Students seeking admission for the first year B.D.S. courses should submit the following documents/ certificates in original at the time of admission.

1. Marks card/statement of the qualifying examination that is P.U.C. or 12th standard or equivalent exam.
2. Eligibility certificate issued by the university (applicable to the students from other countries/State Students)

3. Transfer certificate form the previous college or institution where the student last studied.

4. Migration certificates in respect of students from other university.

5. No objection certificates from Ministry Of External Affairs, Government of India in case of foreign students.

6. Tenth standard examination marks card for age proof.

A foreign national seeking admission to any affiliated college of Rajiv Gandhi Health University shall make an application in the prescribed form to the Registrar of the University along with necessary eligibility fee for the course and all the academic records in original or attested true copies for the consideration and issue of academic eligibility.

The certificate of academic eligibility issue by the university to the foreign national shall not give any right for admission or guarantee for the seat either in the university college /department or in any affiliate college .The certificates shall be valid for admission only to the academic year for which it is issued. The head of the institution under the jurisdiction of the university proposing to admit the said candidate to the said course of study shall intimate the same to the university .The university in turn will consider the issue of permission of admission.

No foreign national seeking admission any affiliated college shall claim a student visa based on the certificate of academic eligibility issued by the university. Only after production of the endorsement of the university permitting the student’s admission, a student shall be eligible to claim a student visa. Foreign students should produce. No Objection Certificate’ from the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

No head of any affiliated college shall issue any certificate of eligibility to any foreign national. Foreign students shall produce a certificate from the competent authority for having adequate knowledge in English or else shall have to pass the English test conducted by the English university before issue of the certificate of academic eligibility.

No refund of eligibility fee shall be paid under any circumstances.( In respect of matters not provided above ,the provisions of the university regulations, statutes, ordinances and rules with regard to admission shall apply.)

A STUDENT WHO DESIRES TO JOIN THIS COLLEGE WILL GET ALL OFFICIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE COLLEGE.

A candidate who desires to leave the college before the internship shall pay the college fees for the entire remaining period of the course.
1. A candidate who discontinues the course is eligible for re-admission only once during the entire course.

2. Such candidates should seek re-admission with in 3 years from the date of discontinuation of the course.

3. He/she should pay the prescribed fees for the year for which he/she seeks admission and cannot claim re-admission on the strength of fee paid earlier.

4. If the candidate discontinues after university examinations, he/she should reappear for the subject in which he/she failed before seeking admission to the next higher class by paying examination fees etc.

5. He/she shall attend the full term of the class for which he/she
seeks re- admission before appearing for the University examination.
